Even Peru can, why can't we?

Alhamdulillah,
Oh God... I have never planned to visit Peru in such very near time. Yet, it happened. I landed in Lima International AIrport around 5 pm in a beautiful afternoon of Feb 24, 2008. Next morning, just to do my habits, I am already walk in one of a big park in the city of LIma, El Olivar Park. I am just amazed on how such 8 million populated city like Jakarta can manage to keep the green open space still available for its people. If the city of Lima can do it, why cant we? Why we just throw away all of such green open space and change it to buildings and buildings?
Oh..dear, right or wrong is my wrong country. CMIIW
