Pitfalls in paradise: why Palm Jumeirah is struggling to live up to the hype

This is the hype in Dubai,
Where dreams are doubted to come true in 48C degree,
But some already bought some.

Here we are in Indonesia.
Where you gonna drive your ball? To the Lake, Fairway, Concrete,
or to the head of officer who issued the permit.

Still in Surabaya, Indonesia.
Where you gonna chip your ball? To the green, bunker,
or straight to nose of the owner who just rarely visit the house?

It always like that. Not only in Indonesia's big city properties, nor abroad. For the purpose of selling properties at high price, many developers usually exaggerate their attractiveness and at the same time conceal its weaknesses.

Nowadays, Jakarta and other big cities in the country offer many properties especially housing and apartments at unreasonably high prices so that can only be purchased by the haves. Knowing so many properties are being promoted at the same time and while the economy is in its uncertainties, one can only pray that we will not follow the US experience, leading to a worsening situation.

Hopefully not.
